Why The Lock On Funnels?
One day I got tired of doing what I referred to as the “Fill ‘er Up Jig.”
It looked something like this:
I would be standing next to my CTL that needed some more hydraulic fluid. In one hand I would be holding this long, flimsy, plastic funnel that I had just spent 5 minutes getting just right, so hopefully it won’t pop out and dump that liquid money all over the ground. In the other hand I would need to reach for the 5 gallon jug and oh so carefully lift it to the plastic funnel. While balancing both, slowly pour the fluid as to ensure that none backed up. I would be doing so well, and then would come the release of the air from the funnel and out the liquid money would pour on everything.
This process would continue and if I was really lucky, I would end up with tired arm, and maybe 60-75% of the liquid money in the intended location.
There had to be a better way.
